The property was nice and spacious. Our room was next to the pool and kitchen where every day at 06.00 the staff would start chatting and shouting, which woke us up. Only three tables around the pool for breakfast, which were "reserved" so we had to eat in our room, which seemed pointless as there was plenty of space for more tables.

An Outstanding Posada
Posted 17 Apr 2016 on HotelsMy husband and I stayed at the Refugio Tropical for 2 nights while visiting Paraty. I loved the suite, having a large bedroom, kitchen and living room area. Extra thing was super clean, the flat was tastefully decorated and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The outside facilities and pool area are beautiful and are a wonderful place to relax and swim. They brought us a lovely breakfast each morning. The wifi worked great the first day, but on our second day we did have some trouble getting and staying connected. We enjoyed being able to access the News in English via CNN.

Safe, clean and lovely hosts!
Posted 17 Apr 2014Paraty is paradise!!! Staying here, out of the town centre allows you to feel the peace and calm of the area. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. They are on reception 24hrs to allow you gated access, it felt very safe. We wished we had planned to stay longer, maybe next time?! I advise you to take Deet and anti mosquito stuff, they were nippy! There were provisions in the apartment but you can never have too much Deet!!

Fomos muito bem tratados, as camareiras super atenciosas e o João e a Carol na recepção estavam sempre solícitos e nos indicando passeios, lugares para visitar e onde comer/beber bem.
Café da manhã farto e delicioso, centro histórico perto, assim como mercado, farmácias e conveniências.
