On the plus side breakfast was excellent scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, cereal, juice, yogurt, waffles, coffee etc. Room was clean. Parking was easy. Some minor negatives the internet was spoty and there is no elevator to the second floor and the pillows on the king bed were small. Overall very good for the price

I had a great stay here; the staff were helpful, the room was clean, the breakfasts were ample. I have no complaints - just some advice for anyone who, like myself, wants to get to and from New York and prefers walking or public transportation over taxis.
To reach the hotel, you need the 163 service from the Port Authority Terminal to Ridgewood (NOT the Paramus Arcola one); get off at Century Road (just after Alpine Drive), and either walk down Century Road or through the George Washington Memorial Park that runs alongside it. After a 40-minute walk, you'll reach the Route 17 highway, and a building called Behnke's Paramus Building Supplies; the Best Western is just at the other end of this retail park.
Whilst you're near Behnke's, be sure to find the nearby bus stop (number 12989) on the other side of the highway exit, as this is your best way to get back to New York. Google Maps told me that the bus would leave from a nearby car park, outside the Fortunoff Backyard Store - perhaps that was true once, but it wasn't when I visited! I found that out the hard way...
