"Rania, the receptionist, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She thoroughly explained everything and gave excellent local recommendations. And most importantly she helped with my lost handbag; I left my handbag behind during the checkout process. The bag has passports and other important stuff. I came back to look for it and she had it ready on the front desk…phew… She’s a life saver!!"

"The rooms were incredibly spacious – it felt like we had our own one-bedroom apartment, complete with a living room and kitchen. During our stay, it was windy for a few days due to winds coming from the north. However there was no wind on the other side of the island which was 20 mins drive so went there. (faliraki beach). "

"Malibu Boutique Studios is a pleasant, slightly older facility. Location is near the town center, shopping, and beach. The staff provided excellent service, correcting minor problems quickly and without difficulty. Online GPS programs misdirect to the back of the property, rather than the parking in the front."

"The hotel was modern, clean and tidy. The room was small but suitable for a 1 night stay. Staff on reception during check-in were not very friendly and charged me for the room, even though I had paid by using my saved vouchers. This was rectified later in the day by the manager. There was no secure place to leave luggage and we were told that we could just put our bags outside the gym. Not ideal and didn't want to leave our belongings in such a public area. "The property has 2 buildings, one closer to the village centre and another one with direct access to the beach. We were lucky to be by the Gaia beach just opposite ours, which has a nicer swimming pool and a bar/restaurant, which is very good and part of the hotel management. The main restaurant is in the building close to the village centre and they do offer a very brief transfer between the two with an electric car at breakfast and dinner time. "Lovely small “apartment” more a room with fridge but very clean spacious and on the beach. Loved our stay there, would definitely come back. Good value for money if you like easy stay and freedom to come and go. "

"First time to rhodes and i was very impressed. The hotel is beautiful, clean and modern, tradional style bedroom (i think) but very spacious, very comfortable bed. Every single staff member was happy, always smiling and very helpful. All the food was amazing, great decent drinks and a huge choice of cocktails. I absolutely could not fault one thing. Great sea view room. Walking distance to new town where theres lots of bars, restaurants and shops. And not really much further to old town. If you don't mind maybe 20 mins walk. We will definitely be back. Thank you. Hope all the staff had a great last night closing meal and party, i am sure you have all worked very hard"

Elissa Adults-Only Lifestyle Beach Resort

"We had a fantastic stay at Elissa. We visited in October, so the hotel was lovely and quiet, perfect for our couples holiday. The private beach was beautiful - we spent lots of time there! Breakfast was delicious. Our room and the entire hotel grounds were clean and well maintained. "

"The property is a little tired e.g. cracked glass in the balcony door but it is clean. The photos of the pool are a little deceptive, it is a pool but hardly a swimming pool. The hotel ad on Expedia says ‘Sun & fun on the beach’ & has photos of sunbeds on the beach. Whilst the hotel is only 3 minutes walk to the beach the Petit Palais does not offer sunbeds on the beach. The ad also states that ‘active travellers can enjoy amenities, such as fitness classes’ but there were no fitness classes .. until we pushed & we’re told we could join yoga at the Grand. Anyway, enough of the negativity. The Petit Palais has a really lovely feel about it, it’s not so big that it’s impersonal. The dining was really good, with plenty of choice, & it’s great that you can pay small additional amounts to enjoy nice wines. Most of the staff were great but we want to say a very special thank you to Nikos who went out of his way to ensure we had a great holiday. And also a mention to Dimitris at the Grand who was just altogether lovely. Would we return? Most certainly yes if the package included access to sun beds on the beach. "
