The shower barely worked. The toilet was very cheap. There was no tv in the room. No porch light. Very deep in the alley and quite a far walk to the tourist area and Alona beach. The road/alley going into the place was not paved. I would not recommend.

It was very affordable. The free trip to Alona Beach was a real convenience.

The first time I regret my choice
Posted 4 Aug 2019 on HotelsThis is the worst hotel I have ever staying. There are so many bad parts.
1.The building was unsafe, the wooden stairs were cracked. When we walked on it, you can feel the shaking of the building.also you can
feel the shaking once someone passed by the stairs.
2.The floor bowed just by standing on it and when even in our bed we could feel our neighbour walking in their room.
3. When plugging in my phone charger the walled bounced.
4.the door was not fitted properly ,it always left a crack big enough for a big gecko to get in.
5.We had several time of power cuts.
6.the water there is also shut down once, and the tap cannot close to, drop a lot of salty water.
7.the wall is made by thin board,so we can hear our nearby breathing.
8.we cannot bear to stay there anymore,so just stayed two nights, asked them to refund us,but they just put that duty to HOTELS,and refund nothing,we lost 9nights fees
9.the first day we went there, there is no cloth to cover your body, any one sheet to cover the bed.
Don’t looking forward you staying here, even it is recommended by Lonely Planet, but sometime they will make mistakes too!

Great stay
Posted 26 Jun 2019 on HotelsGreat place a little off the beaten track. Still walkable but the hotel will pay for a tricycle to and from the main strip between 18.00 and 22.00. GREAT aircon

Cute bungalow, has potential but basic
Posted 30 Apr 2019 on HotelsShort walk to town, good to stretch legs but you may feel uncomfortable as a solo traveller as it is on a back road. Having said that they offer a free ride in the evening. The staff were friendly and the bungalow basic, but rustic as expected. The view from the veranda of coconut tree was pretty however having a leaking sewer on the garden next to us was fairly gross!

Good place to stay
Posted 26 Mar 2019 on HotelsGood place to stay. 7/10. The location is what let’s this accommodation down - it is about a 15 min walk to the beach and down some dark alleys/paths at night so could be scary on your own. They do offer a shuttle service to and from the hotel to the beach for free, between 6-10pm which was great and really handy. Make sure you say to the trike driver it’s to chill out, and they pay there - as it seemed only some drivers were willing to take it on. The room was good, comfy big bed, good A/C. No reliable WiFi, only slow and intermittent. Bathroom facilities also good!

Very basic room which is fine but the room looked at a concrete fence with jagged glass on top... no breeze and only a fan with no window to open for air circulation. Felt like being in a steam room but without any of the enjoyment. I wanted to peel my skin off. We promptly went in search of another place to stay and forfeited our money.

Staff was very helpful. Food was good with many local dishes. For an overnight stay, it provided most of what I was looking for in a budget guest house.

It's very thoughtful of them to provide free tricycle rides to and fro Alona Beach after 6 p.m. even though it's fine to walk. The wooden room is comfy and has all the basic amenities we need.
