My husband and I stayed here for our babymoon. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it was basically our last kid free trip.

This guesthouse and the owner JC is amazing. If you need advises or something wrong with the room, don’t hesitate to ask JC and he will do everything to make yourself at home. 🙂👌

Great hotel in Pana, perfect location.
Posted 29 May 2018 on HotelsGreat spot just off the main stretch in Panajachel and a short walk to the public docks. Close enough to everything, but still quiet at night. Clean rooms, good water pressure, good internet. Will definitely stay again next time I'm at the lake.

Small room, but with a clean/comfortable bed and good flush toilet.
Spotty WiFi in the rooms (#guatemalaproblems) but seemed to work in the lobby.
Very nice and welcoming staff, the owner caught us on the way out and offered to come back any time to redeem the included paddleboard rental

Go Ahead, Click on "Reserve"
Posted 9 Mar 2018Considering that Lake Atitlan is one of the most popular destinations in all of Central America, Casa Colonial is a great balance of price and accommodations. You can certainly stay in fancier places around the lake, and you can definitely pay a lot more, but Casa Colonial will give you what you need without emptying your wallet. Oh, and did I mention the people are great? The people are GREAT. I liked that the lobby is open to the street and doubles as JC's paddle board shop. The marinas are 5 minutes away, there's a great tienda right next door, and anything you could want in food, drink, coffee, sweets, or souvenirs is nearby. Go ahead, click on Reserve.

Good budget hotel
Posted 31 Jan 2018 on HotelsA good budget hotel off the Main Street. Staff was not bilingual but the owner was often there and he is from the US. We booked the “corner room with kitchenette”. The kitchenette turned out to be a sink and counter. There is a full common kitchen downstairs. Food is so cheap we didn’t cook anyway. The corner room had lots of light and the balcony right outside.

Is one of the worst hotel I ever see, dirty blood
Posted 8 Jan 2018 on HotelsIs one of the worst hotel I ever see, dirty blood in the bedsheets, I refused to stay. And I want my money back, I attach picture of the condition of the room and bed sheets. Please remove this hotel from your website.
Thank you

Great location. Friendly staff. However wouldn't recommend for families with young children or more elderly people. Room was extremely small, no television, and could smell marijuana being smoked. Not worth the $92 that was paid per night as there was also no daily cleaning of room.
