"Incredible place to stay! You need not leave the property to see sloths, monkeys, lots of birds, frogs, and amazing flora. The hot thermal pools are also fantastic and quiet. "We loved the gardens and jungle trail around the hotel. Birds paradise. In addition to a regular pool, hot springs pools were very convenient too. The shower is a bit dated but overall clean and served its purpose. The breakfast was filling and tasty: scrambled eggs, white bread, cheese, rice and beans, sauteed veggies, fruits, yogurt, cereal, coffee. The personnel was polite and patient with all our questions. The view of volcano adds to the overall great impression. "

"Property is stunning. Very hilly and lush. Private plunge pool a plus with lots of privacy. The people here are wonderful. No issues with check in or out. Beds comfortable. Loved the two showers but preferred outdoor version even when raining. Food at resort was fabulous every time. Only drawback was the bartender at the main tent made us wait 15 minutes for a drink so we left. He was not up to par with the rest of the people we met. "

"Excellent location, nestled in the forest, close to all activities. The rooms were gorgeous with great attention to details with amenities such as personal pool, jacuzzi, etc. Although it rained half the days we were at La Fortuna and we were travelling with a baby, the fact that our villa was surrounded by nature, allowed us to enjoy the rain forest vibes. The hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and considerate. "
