A very pleasant stay
Posted 24 Oct 2023 on HotelsThe stay was very enjoyable, the photos on the website are old and the hostel is not as new looking as in the photos.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room itself was comfortable and the hostel was very central to all the amenities.
My only issue was that the street was very noisy, a lot of police car sirens and loud motorbikes late at night.
I had earplugs which helped with the problem and I am sure that every hotel/hostel on the road has the same issues
overall a very pleasant stay

Dear GerardThank you for your review, I'm glad that everything went well, the noise! Unfortunately you are right. From this year we will have installed new 72 decoibel windows. So I hope that everything will be resolved soon. The photos are from 6 years ago, also this will be resolved this year. Thank you for choosing me.

First off, it is made clear in the description, but this is not a hotel with a full time reception. This did make check in and check out much harder as communication wasn't instant. To say the hotel has parking is basically saying that you can park a car in Palermo. I believe there is a valet parking facility around the corner but we struggled to get to it due to road closures.
Room was very large and had good aircon and a spacious bathroom although the shower was not the best. Bed was comfortable.
Now the tricky bit... Location.... Great for seeing the sites... Terrible for noise. We probably had it worse as our room overlooked the main road and we were there over a weekend, but the volume of noise throughout Saturday night was deafening. Groups shouting... Mopeds revving... Cars blaring out music... Was impossible to sleep much. Sunday was better but it's noisy from early morning. Perhaps different rooms don't have the same problem but it massively affected our opinion of the hostel.

Firs off,In fact, ours is not a HOTEL, and guests are received by staff who speak perfect English!So I don't understand what exactly went wrong, because Brygitte explained everything. She handed over the keys, and said that check out is express and nothing is needed, just leave keys at the door!In the description you also find it written that parking is nearby, no one has ever said that in hostel. Expedia is very clear on the descriptions. You also find it written that we are in the center mention.We are located in city center, 5 min from mai square Quattro Canti, 1 min from street food market VUCCIRIA, 10 min from port, 10 min from central station and everywhere around you can walk by foot.Our place travelers are choosing because we are central. Yea it's noisy as in all city centers, it's busy, it has it's vibe that is Palermo. We permitted to keep your bag after check out hours without any additional charge, everywhere else you had to pay for these services.We are not obligated to have rooms facing inside building. We cannot we responsible for people who are partying until the morning, if you travel more you should have earplugs or don't choose hostel to stay choose hotel and spend a bit more money for better service in exchange.Why are you trying to compare my structure to what a hotel has or doesn't have? So why choose hostel if you're looking for a hotel! It's not understandable to me. Write a negative review with this type of expectation? It's obvious that in a hotel I found everything you're mentioning. I'm sorry that an external cause has obscured every positive note.

It is noisy
Posted 13 Jun 2023 on HotelsIt is noisy. We had to sleep with earplugs on, and they didn’t provide use clean towel everyday. No cleaning service at all.

We are very sorry, a pity that you did not inform me.Now I can't do anything anymore I can only apologize.We are truly sorry that you were unable to sleep. Being in the historic center near many clubs, it is difficult to ensure absolute silence. Unfortunately, we cannot answer any external problems but only internal ones of the hotel.

Street noise was loud all night long. It sounded like the window was open even with ear plugs in. There was a terrible smell in the bathroom. The croissants at breakfast were delicious and the staff was pleasant.

We are sorry that for an external cause, she was not happy with the room. Unfortunately, Palermo is very old, and with this there are equally old external sewers. And sometimes, during schirrocco, a bad smell can occur. We cannot do anything about it. with double glazing on a saturday night you can't quite drown out the noise.At least the breakfast and staff were fine.It's not pleasant to receive negative reviews. Especially when it's not our fault. And we can't do anything

Hotel or Hostel
Posted 23 Sep 2019 on HotelsDishonest to trick people. Agata advertises itself as a HOTEL on the Internet. After booking, the confirmation mentions HOSTEL, without a reception, amenities such as a safe. In order to check in, you have to call. Nobody seems to be there permanently. And of course, you are being charged the entire stay, not just one night. I decided not to go there. I wonder how a respectable company like yours represents this site.

So you have to learn to read the description !!!
And learn above all not to tell lies!

Parking was a hassle but the hotel is centrally located and walking distance to key sites. Agata was amazing!

Struttura vecchia e in fase di ristrutturazione da evitare le camere con affaccio su via Roma che sono estremamente rumorose anche di notte. Rapporto qualità prezzo buona. Comodissimo per girare il centro storico di Palermo

Gentile MirkoVedo che ti sei scordato tutto quello che era necessario di scrivere.La colazione gratuita regalata da ostello.Prrsonale simpatico,e di aiuto.Wi fi gratuito.Pulizia esemplare con cambio tovaglie .Non è usuale in un ostello.Le camere sono in primo piano.E via Roma è un arteria principale.E non è possibile del tutto attutire il rumore.Finestre sonoInsonorizzate in questa camera.Penso che questi aspetti sono importanti e meritavano una parola in più.La struttura è stata rimodernata .Solamente alcune cose sono evidenti come PVC in corridoi.Edificio è del 1809 e la sua struttura è un teatro .Esattamente Teatro Finocchiaro.Quindi questa è la sua particolarità.Quindi non cet nulla di vecchio .Palazzo è antico.Penso che servizio merita qualcosa di più.Grazie comunque
