"Short overnight stay in Annecy France. The hotel is right at the train station. It’s a charming old building and despite appearances the rooms are modern and extremely clean. The staff are super friendly and the price is very good for the location. They have an excellent breakfast or there is a patisserie down-stairs if you just want to grab a snack. "We were on foot and able to walk to/from the train station through Annecy which took a leisurely 40 mins (for those so inclined - it’s a hill!). The climb was worth it. Beautiful lake view from our window and pleasant concierge staff. We rented e-bikes (40e/each) for a day and road the beautiful 26mile path around the lake. Also easy access to hiking trails above Les Tresomes. Highly recommend! "
