Beautiful small hotel

Posted 20 Oct 2017
We had a great stay, we stayed one night. They came to pick us up from the airport and manager arranged for a chauffeur to take us where we wanted for additionnal cost. The room was beautiful and beds comfortable even though the shower had a serious problem with pressure. The property is beautiful with carved wood and nice garden. Very relaxing.

Nice hotel on the volcano, but needs some TLC

The stay at this hotel was nice. Staff are great. The room could use some fixing up, better maintenance, and upgrades. Very low water pressure in the shower. Very quiet and nice area. Food (breakfast, snacks, and dinner) was really good and very inexpensive.

A quaint traditional style Indonesian hotel.

Posted 16 Jan 2016 on Hotels
This hotel has a lot of character and greenery. It's your traditional Indonesian style hotel up on the mountain...The staff was very helpful. I thought I'd treat myself to a Deluxe Villa hotel room with a DEEP SOAKING TUB the night before I had to catch my flight. But I have a feeling that when you book a Deluxe Villa room (for 1 night $100 which I paid), and that's offered with a discount, like in my case, they give you the room that's at the low end of the scale. My Deluxe Villa was steps away from restaurant and I specifically chose the Deluxe Villa because it was advertised with a 'DEEP SOAKING TUB' with slippers provided, etc....But when I got in my hotel, there was no 'DEEP SOAKING TUB OR SLIPPERS or even hand soap. I inquired about it, and the slippers and hand soap was sent to my room, but as for the DEEP SOAKING TUB, I'd have to switch to a smaller hotel room and I doubt I'd be reimbursed for the difference. That was a disappointment for me. My room wasn't worth the money I paid. Because I could have chosen other hotels with good offers in the same price range, and yes, with a SOAKING TUB. It's the off season so many hotels are offering discounts. This hotel was very quiet, almost empty. It's also 45 minutes away from the airport.

Something different

Posted 9 Apr 2015
Pros: Traditional wooden plawang buildings with free wifi
Cons: Choose a villa away from road. Preferably across the stream. No disabled access.
Location: Outside yogyakarta with the palace, hindu and budhist sites to visit. We did 4 full days of touring and could have probably done it all in 2/3 days!
Off the beaten track hotel with nice traditional setting, rooms and public areas. We liked the setting room, service and staff. One villa was close to the road and had early morning traffic and mosque noise. This place is way out of jogja and is good for walking and cycling in the surrounding villages. If you are after a bland 5star hotel this is not it. We had a frog in our bathroom and saw a snake in the grounds. There were lots of beautiful lizards and beetles and dragonflys to be found by those who looked! Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Courtesy car to and from airport and train station were timely and free. A 7 am start came with a packed breakfast and water which waa a nice touch. Local villagers came and practiced the gamalan instruments giving us a private performance as well as sharing their sweet tea and patties.

可怕木屋

Posted 13 Aug 2017

Suveren beliggenhet, Fantastisk service.

Et gjennomgående vellykket opphold med utmeket service og nydelig mat. Beliggenheten er perfekt for besøk til Prambanan tempelet, sultanpalasset samt Marliboro-street dag en og besøk til Borobudur tempelet dag to. Strålende.
