"Wonderful place to stay, with extra touches to make our stay special. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, with a balcony offering beautiful views over Bay of Islands. Excellent location for getting to quay fir boat and ferry trips and within walking distance of Waitangi Treaty Grounds. (Although the steep walk back up hill after a day out is quite tough...but view was worth it). "

On the downside, some noise from the petrol station adjacent to the property. The room was well-equipped, and daily room servicing was excellent. However, the room fixtures and fittings e.g. wooden tables, chairs, kitchen units, bathroom sink, shower unit are showing their age, scuffed and looking well-worn. "A higher-end hotel and a great option if you don't want to be on the beachfront which is busy and probably noisy. "

"This motel has basic facilities and will work for those looking for convenience and value for money. We found the place damp and cold. One of the rooms had mouldy curtains and smelly bedspreads. The walls were very thin and we could hear the neighbours moving about. We had to sleep with earplugs on."
