Really fantastic stay - quiet, comfortable, and clean. We really enjoyed how close we were to the waterfront and being a short walk away from the Four Square.

This small family run motel was fabulous for our purpose and budget. Owners were very friendly and knowledgeable about local eateries and attractions in the area.
Very clean and comfortable. Handy walking to town for shopping and restaurants. Easy walk down to the wharf for our Bay of Islands cruise and ferry to Russell.

We had a room with a lot of stairs to get to. Was difficult with luggage. Otherwise it was great

Property facilities were very old and in need of major upgrade

Sorry to hear that you consider the property is in need of a major upgrade, however we have a deferent view.The motel was built out of solid concrete in the early 1980s with spacious rooms including kitchenette's that retain some of the original Austrian character. We believe we keep our rooms up to date for our targeted guests as shown by ratings. Some examples:- luxury king beds- new TVs- up to date air conditioner units in each studio- up to date carpet- up to date leather recliner chairs
