"We had a great stay, our room faced the train track but we never heard the trains. Our room could use updating like new carpet but everything felt clean and accommodating. Breakfast was good, would have loved a non dairy milk option but otherwise lots of options for food. The construction only happens during the day and we were always out to see the city so we never noticed it. I would stay here again."

"Similar to others, I was slightly apprehensive before my stay because of negative reviews, but it was all for nothing because this hotel in my experience was FANTASTIC. The room and overall hotel were exactly a three-star hotel and at a great price, so if you are expecting a five-star experience on a three-star budget then you will be disappointed. If however you are perfectly content cleaning up after yourself and self-sufficient, you shouldn't find any problems with this hotel. It is in a very old part of London - of course the rooms will be small, and you will find pretty much the same in all the hotels in the area. Yes, the area is busy and you will hear noises both outside your window and in the hotel corridors - again you are in a very old building in a busy area, and frankly if you are over the age of 20 and have travelled at all and haven't already learnt to bring your own earplugs to unfamiliar places, that's on you. There were marks on the walls but if you've stayed in hostels at all and have experienced true budget conditions, you wouldn't even notice it. The room was clean, cute, well-maintained and the staff were fantastic, lovely and cheerful and very generous with handing over anything I asked for. Would highly recommend."
