Good Value and Pet Friendly

Posted 21 Jan 2015
Location: There are a few restaurants in the area as well as fast food. We didn't spend to much time in town.
We were passing through and needed a good nights rest. Our room was recently updated and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. It appears they are updating the entire hotel. We enjoyed our stayed and would stay again.

USE AS A LAST RESORT

Posted 6 Sep 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything and give someone the AAA discount upon arrival.
Location: its a oil boomtown and limited places to eat.
I booked online with Expedia and was guaranteed the best rate possible. It was $125.00. Its a oil boom town so this was the very last hotel to stay in all others were booked. I also had to pay 10 bucks each for my small Chihuahuas. The room is extremely small. The bed was very uncomfortable and saggy. The bed gave access to my dogs underneath and they pulled out 5 things. 1. a crumpled up dollar bill 2. a BOTTLE CAP 3. a straw wrapper. 4. a piece of paper 5. a plastic tie wrap I am VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS. I have to pay 125 plus 20 bucks for them and they needed to be kenneled the whole time? this is so bad. I have never in my life paid this much for a motel room and just because there were nothing but oil guys there we have to pay for the deal they are getting for staying weekly? there also was a BIG party outside. The guy at the desk when I checked in told me that since I went online and reserved my room I could not get a AAA discount!!!! A total and utter lie. The room says it was remodeled. If you want to call taking out the tub and placing in a crowded glass encasement shower remodeled then so be it. if you want to call new fixture on the sink so be it,. if you want to call a high definition television a remodel then so be it. otherwise it was the same ole lamp fixtures which are filthy the same ole everything else. they should be ashamed of themselves for doing highway robbery to me. I feel dirty, I feel cheated. ONLY STAY HERE IF YOU ABSOLUTEY HAVE To

Bare Minimums, poor service

Posted 20 Aug 2009 on Orbitz
After a 100 degree days in Texas, I was given a room with an air conditioner compressor that wouldn't engage. When questioned about the warm air circulating through the fan, she said wait and hour an it should cool. First, it was 11:30pm and I didn't have an hour to wait while my kids sweat in their sleep. Second, logic says that circulating warm air will not cool the room. Most concerning was a statement she made about booking online and that I had no options. She finally offered another room with an AC that was working. It shouldn't be this hard and the online booking shouldn't be a crutch used by hotel management to defend poor service (attention Orbitz). Also, the "recently renovated" claim only applies to the bathroom tile.

Room and bathroom were small but clean, internet service was good. TV stations were adequate. Food was standard motel breakfast fare. The clerk had to "make" the second room key several times.

older motel recently remodeled -- new fixtures in room and toilet -- very clean throughout -- rooms somewhat small for 2 queen beds -- needed electrical outlets for computer and space to work -- for modest traveler represents good value -- quiet area
