Pros: It is in a historic location.
Cons: Air conditioning or a loud fan to drown out outside noise. Make sure room is supplied with soap, shampoo, etc.
Location: All outdoor activities.
No one manned the lobby. It was difficult to get access to the room. There is no air conditioning so the unscreened window had to be open to get it cool at night to sleep. It was across from a noisy outdoor restaurant so ear plugs were necessary to get to sleep.

My fiancé and I went to Ouray for the bluegrass festival in telluride. We stayed at the Columbus. The room is a nonsmoking room but smelled like smoke. It is a shared space hotel so unless you request the only room with a bathroom you will be sharing. There is no wireless connection and there is no tv in the room. At first I was bummed out, but then I remembered we are on vacation and out for adventure. The waitress was amazing and the food is good. If you are looking for a unique experience this is your place.
