This is a beautiful property and the room was amazing. It felt super safe and we had no complaints with the venue. We did find that the staff weren’t as personable as some of the other places we stayed during our trip, but they were still helpful and polite. The only complaint we had was that we had booked an olive tour the night prior, and we were told it was a 45 minute tour with a tasting. We waited half an hour for the tour and was picked up in a pickup truck and driven around for 25 minutes on the grounds with no tasting. They guy had told us it was his day off, and although polite, we did not feel this tour was as advertised and would not have paid for it if they had told us the tours don’t run on weekends (which seemed to be the case since it was his day off apparently). Felt like they were just trying to make more money by booking it. Also, upon check out, originally the total came to what we owed for the accommodation and our food and drinks while there, I had said I paid for the accommodation online and she instantly changed the total to just our food and drinks. I found this odd she didn’t ask to see proof of payment or said anything about it. Felt almost like maybe just trying to see if I would pay the full amount without questions? Just seemed odd from a behaviour and professional standpoint. This venue is lovely and this should not deter anyone from booking, just some concerns with the professional practices

Great location but not as good as hoped

Pros: Scenery and setting
Cons: Room quality
Location: Not far to caves and ostrich farm
Lovely location and setting. Staff at check in not as good as at dinner. Strange smell in room which was ok size.

A bit of a disappointment
Posted 7 Jan 2018 on HotelsWe stayed here for 3 nights. The positives. It’s a fabulous spot, wonderful scenery and a good restaurant with lovely views. But - and this is a point many travellers have made before me - the service just isn’t up to it. An indifferent welcome at the front desk when we arrived, difficulty getting any of the staff to serve us drinks as we sat outside (next to the restaurant itself), and unclean public furniture around the property. It all feels a bit unloved. This establishment could be 5 star with a bit more structure and staff training. I hope they get there some day.

Lovely hotel surrounded by activities
Posted 19 Jul 2017A fantastic hotel to relax. If you are adventurous, there are many activities like bungee, flying fox etc to enjoy.
Also, a great honeymoon location.

Olive Estate near Cango Caves
Posted 20 May 2017 on HotelsLocation is a bit remote, but the property is located amidst beautiful olive trees. Convenient for visiting Cango Caves. Our only caveat is the extreme slowness of service at dinner, even when the restaurant wasn't full. Need to improve service.

Fantastic views from the back of hotel restaurant/pool areas, our room however was next to the main car park and a minibus parked right out side our room. So no view for us. We did ask for a different room, informed none were available.

Lovely hotel, food and staff
Posted 21 Feb 2017 on HotelsBeyond our expectations. The photos do not show the beauty and tranquility of this gem boutique hotel. The food alone is worth the drive. Fantastic! Friendly staff, we loved it! Wish we could have stayed 2 Nts.
