Nice place, spacious room, great location. The hosts made fantastic dining recommendations that were perhaps our best meals of the trip.

Home away from home
Posted 3 Mar 2019 on HotelsWe were greeted by the owners, a very friendly couple and their little dog, and shown to our garden cottage, which was lovely. Fully equipped, with direct access to the pool area. We received a bunch of information about the area, and felt at home immediately. We all had a great experience at Aloe House and we would highly recommend it!

We are indeed fortunate to be so well located with some of the main attractions and restaurants so close to us.
Of special interest to guests has been the interaction with nature on early morning excursions.

Lovely people and a lot of character in the house
Posted 25 Sep 2017Greated by 2 friendly, lovely couple. Made to feel very comfortable. Recommended restaurants. 50's bar had lovely food but apart from menus not 50's deco but def worth a visit. Nice size town with plenty of shops. Must go to wildlife zoo and ostrich farm. Road can get a bit noisy early if ur a light sleeper but a great stay. Caves must do caves.

Great place to stay in Oudtshoorn
Posted 17 Jan 2017We were met by Carl and his wife who showed us round the house. They are most welcoming and we're amazingly helpful throughout our stay - even gave us a lift to the meerkat adventures as we didn't have a car. The kitchen is well equipped with a big fridge. The pool is lovely and a very peaceful space. Out the back of the house there is a garden which includes a braai (BBQ) area. The house is close to the main town and within walking distance. We stayed in the double room which is big with ensuite bathroom with a superb shower!!

Superb value option in Oudtshoorn

Perfectly situated, very friendly staff and manager, easy going and relaxed, bedrooms and common rooms were comfortable and well kept, and overall it was an excellent value (as a group of 4) compared to other options in Oudtshoorn city centre. In addition the manager proactively upgraded our booking suite after the initial online booking, to optimize our situation.

Oudtshoorn has many historical and older buildings off which we are one,and one can enjoy the old style ambience of the surroundings while cooling off in the pool.
