An Unexpected Delight
Posted 10 Oct 2014 on HotelsDon't let the name fool you. This is no hostel. We knew we found a most welcoming place from the moment we made contact with the Front Desk. The receptionist was the epitome of graciousness and hospitality. There wasn't a question or request that wasn't answered or accommodated. It helped that she was quite fluent in English. However, the ultimate surprise of our stay was the hotel's restaurant. Unbeknownst to us at the time, the meal that we had there that evening proved to be the finest one that we had during our entire tour of Sardinia. Every course surpassed the taste and presentation of the previous one. In our opinion, the food and wine that we were served was on par with restaurants that have earned a few Michelin stars. Until this chef is discovered, the culinary treat will be the secret of guests who opt to stay at Hostel Rodia. This is a place that should not be missed
