There was a lot to like about the Surf Inn. The property is an older motel that has been remodeled recently. It's got a nice "beach / surf" theme and has an early Sixties feel with modern amenities. We stayed in unit 5, and it's got 2 rooms. The bedroom is pretty small, but enough space for a queen bed, 2 nightstands with lamps, and a bench big enough for 2 suitcases. The bed was comfortable, and the bedding was of good quality. We especially liked the living room. It had a comfy couch (sleeper sofa), side chair, coffee table, TV, etc. which made relaxing much more, well, Relaxing!!! Furnishings were clean and nice and there's lots of fun decorative touches. The kitchenette was also great. Real plates, coffee cups, glasses and flatware, with some plastic bowls and cups for kids. We travel with prepared food, so this made mealtimes much easier and we didn't have to use paper plates. There's dish soap for washing up. The bathroom is small, but clean, with nice towels. The location is on the road, but it was quiet. There's plenty of parking. The property isn't on the beach, but it's a short walk to the bay and it makes a great base to start exploring the Three Capes, Tillamook, and neighboring beaches. There's a small store, a coffee shop, and a deli all very close by. We hope to stay here again!!!
