Classy hotel with interesting art, meticulously maintained by professional, and very courteous staff; breakfast buffet is excellent views from the room and pool were nice Near a good mall with grocery store and several restaurants

Disappointing Stay That Ruined Our Family Time

Bad start - booked two rooms but hotel only registered one room which was not even in my name, as the main occupant (but my son's) - how strange and it was not rectified despite having written to the hotel via this app as well as to the butler's service who got in touch with my son (to my email of coz since I was the one booking) - very disappointing. In both instances, I reiterated our request for connecting rooms as we had planned a family gathering, even if it was just 4 adults and a baby. Later, the "error" was only semi-rectified at check-in, after much hassle. Then to rub salt into wound, our rooms were not connected but just side by side - how unexpectedly disappointing. Didn't the girl at check-in not understand simple English? Or insufficiently trained perhaps. Needless to say, we insisted on connecting rooms - otherwise our main purpose of booking at this supposedly esteem establishment for a cosy, long-awaited family gathering would be meaningless. We only managed to get into our connecting rooms at 6pm ++ The hotel would not even grant a late check-out, citing that it is fully booked (but strangely, the day-before occupants were allowed to leave at 4pm ++, when we had already made a booking for connecting rooms). It is sad to be sidelined in our own country. We received better services in 3 & 4 star hotels elsewhere in the world. Rooms are cosy & comfortable. Exceptional amenities, befitting the price we paid. G8 concierge services. Not coming back though.

In summary: It is disappointing to pay premium five star hotel rates for the St Regis Singapore. The hotel is very long overdue a refurbishment. Things are in bad shape, faulty and dirty. Some staff are rude. We had a suite and a second room for our kids. The Bad: - The hotel is very much in need of a refurbishment. Whilst it was clearly top notch in its day it is just too old now. - When we first walked into the suite the aircon controller was half hanging open with exposed wires (see photos). I showed it to the concierge but it was not repaired during our entire five night stay. The aircon did not work properly as when we would put It back in its place something must have been pushing the buttons from behind so the room was always ice cold. - The buttons on the control panel on the one bedside table did not do anything (see photo). To switch anything on or off could only be done from the other side. - The desk had a number of gouges and stains showing how old the pace is (see photos). - The bedroom telephone was absolutely filthy (see photo). - We decided to spend an afternoon a the pool where there is an old guy who is the attendant and helped by an elderly lady. Besides being extremely rude and unpleasant and clearly hating their jobs the guy could not be bothered to fix up the sun umbrellas which were both in bad shape but repairable. He could have brought fixed umbrellas but could not be bothered. See photos. The Good; - Other than the two swimming pool at

Excellent hotel and staff. Superior culinary expertise, brilliant food without any fuss or stress. Genuinely kind, polite and helpful staff. From check in to check out EVERYTHING was top notch. The staff really make this hotel, they’re the best in the business. Wonderfully comfortable beds, spacious rooms, very well appointed decor. And the art on display is fabulous. Thank you, St. Regis Singapore staff, management and owners. We look forward to returning soon.

Avoid unless you want your items damaged

Worst hotel stay of my life. I used their laundry service, they ruined 3 of my tshirts by stapling through them with a stapler which they use to tag clothes, and despite holes clearly aligning with the staples used, they claim it wasn’t them and take no responsibility. Totally unprofessional and disappointing; especially considering the price paid for the hotel.

We love everything about the hotel. The staff are very friendly and efficient in their work. They went out of the way to make sure that I had an amazing time celebrating my birthday on 24th June. They made our stay so memorable. I wish everyone at the hotel all my very best for their future endeavours. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING 🙏.
