First impressions of the resort were very good. Good location away from the spoilt hill stations. Everything is clean, well maintained, done up well & the setting is beautiful.
However, there are a few flaws that when taken together left us feeling less satisfied. The service, while friendly, lacked any urgency or thoroughness. If you stay in one of the rooms at the bottom of the hill & don't want to make the trek all the way up to the restaurant or reception, you had to call for the buggy. Sometimes it would arrive & sometimes you'd wait for 15 minutes & give up before walking up. Want more water? Have to call twice.
The food was presented well & kept covered. Small quantities were put out on the buffet & refilled as & when needed, so everything was fresh. Most of the time you have to ask for paper napkins, forks, water, etc. All the Indian dishes were good but continental dishes were not. We were there for Christmas & the eve meal was quite bad.
Activities were the most problematic. Everything was very corny & only meant for people who like simple games & want to socialize with other guests. For those who want to utilize the facilities quietly, you're out of luck. There was a private party that took up the hall, so the facilities were not available to the rest of the guests. They mention Christmas activities & games but they conduct games like "Radha and Krishna"! Live music consists of two old guys who were not interested in playing or singing good music.
Spotty Wifi.
