"The room was a little dated and we had a cockroach visit us. MKV is a premiere resort so it was a bit disappointing that the room was so dated. The staff at MKV are amazing and friendly. Castaways is a great place to eat and have cocktails when at the pool or beach! "

"We were travelling with 6 adults. The accomodations were comfortable and spacious for all of us. Particularly liked having a bathroom accessible from the main living area rather than off each bedroom. Kitchen was stocked to accomodate cooking for six. Liked having a dishwasher, washer and dryer. Staff was super friendly and helpful when needed. "

"We loved this place and will stay again for sure! The ONLY complaint we had was the door to our room. The lock seemed to malfunction daily, sometime twice daily. Quite a few trips back to the lobby to get a new key. Room 302B We will be back next year!!"

"We loved having the beautiful green space to enjoy the water view. The condition of the room was not good. Some doors couldn't be locked. Some windows couldn't be opened. We communicated this to the person on staff. She never showed she was very interested in helping. A security guy was there and got involved. No AC so opening doors and windows was important. Person on staff both days we were there seemed to not care at all about our experience and needs. Wouldn't stay there again. "

Had AC, ceiling fans, 2 bathrooms. Let us stay late due to pending storm, very accommodating. Grounds are very beautiful and well maintained. Swimming pool great. Friendly staff. "

"The property was clean and quiet."

"We enjoyed our stay. Grounds and pool are very well tended. Our unit was very tired and needed a deep clean. But the beds, pillows, linens and towels were very good. The A/C wall unit in the living room struggles to keep the space comfortable. I informed the property and hopefully they will replace it. "Great location and grounds. Loved the cabana. The apartment was spacious but very dated. Lanai was quite dirty. We had to clean it ourselves prior to use. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Really enjoyed having base start up materials especially even laundry detergent. Having an in suite washer drier was wonderful. We would definitely return."

And they didn't quite seem to be able to handle the amount of traffic, but it was Valentine's weekend so it may have been busier than normal (one of the bathrooms near the pool was flooded, not enough chairs for the number of people, long lines for towels). "Front staff was excellent. Easy check in/out. Staff kept us updated on road closures to the hotel and gave us excellent directions to the hotel. I was a little nervous about staying at the hotel due to the resent storms knowing they were close to the damage but rooms were fantastic and staff was wonderful. We will be back! "

"Excellent hotel. Very nice rooms, excellent ocean views from your balcony. They have a lot of amenities on property, a beautiful, large garden with various animals to walk through (including penguins!), great pool and pool area. The lobby level has a nice open feel, with basically a small shopping center inside the hotel to include 2 excellent restaurants and a coffee shop. The only issue I could conceive of bringing up is the location on the beach- the beach directly in front of the hotel isn't that great so we did walk 5 minutes away to get to a nicer section of beach but that was no show stopper, given its location on Kaanapali its also in walking distance from a lot of other shops, restaurants, whalers village and a 2-3 minute uber to Lahaina for more options."
