Tried to charge us additional fees during check-in (prepaid), they claim to have soundproofing, however, you could hear conversations through the wall and they were cleaning and vacuuming the hallway at 10pm. Linens were not clean, garbage and dust left on the floor and under the bed and we had to request towels. Overall very poor stay, I'd recommend spending a little more to stay somewhere else.

It was pretty gross and dirty. They clearly had not swept as we saw human nails discarded on the floor.

Service was great but the room was definitely not sound proof as advertised. We could hear the staff welcoming other guests and in the morning we could clearly hear the showers.
Would not recommend for those that have dust allergies. There was dust under the bed and when we plugged in the cord for the fridge (there is a mini fridge:)) we saw that area was definitely not cleaned for a while.
The shower room was everything we wanted and overall the look of the room was very modern and nice.

We have stayed in Hygie Hotel for the third time but the property is not well maintained. The hotel is dirty, our bathroom sinks were clogged, the towel hangers are broken. Overall there is no maintenance of the property.

If you are tempted to book this, I BEG YOU please look somewhere else.
The rooms don’t have individual AC so sleeping was like torture!!! We couldn’t come back to our rooms and relax because it was like a sauna.
The shower looked nice till you turned it on and then it was like an erratic sprinkler! The shower base had no ridges so I almost slipped and broke my arm!
The manager was avoiding speaking with people because we couldn’t have been the only ones who were complaining. They couldn’t be found through the 2 days we were there.
The bed was lumpy, the pillow cases were rough and left marks on our faces.
This place does not deserve a dime of your money, you will regret it deeply if you book it!

While the place was clean and fairly decent this is NOT a hotel I’d say it’s more of a hostel. Shared room with shared bathroom and shower as well as communal kitchen and some room have their own bathroom.
I tried reaching out to the hotel via text and email as they said and never got a reply.
Good place if you’re in Montreal to party and only need a place to sleep but this is not the place for pre-drinks and order food.
Lastly the rooms are not necessarily what they say they are on the website. We booked a king suite room where we could sleep up to 4 there was 3 of us and there was only a king bed with no couch as they said on the website
