First of all when I booked I did not know nor was it listed that the hotel doubled as a homeless shelter. (Nothing against the homeless). The property as well as the amenities were all OUTDATED 😩. The air barely worked (good thing my husband has to have his fan blowing in his face and brung his own, which circulated the air). It was clean and no bugs so it was ok since we didn’t spend much time in the hotel.

This hotel is VERY old. It really should be shut down and renovated. I’m sure it was a very beautiful and fancy hotel back in the day. We weren’t informed that our AC only works if you put it on 80 degrees. Everything smelled and was dirty. The carpet was stained and ripped up everywhere. Everything pretty much smelled like cigarettes. There were people screaming and cursing so loud you could hear it from inside your room. Bedsides the old age of the room, everything inside our room was fine despite the AC at first. Tried to not leave our room when we could. Only stayed because there’s not any other hotel in Louisville that would let us check in due to age (under 21) if you are 21 , i recommend staying somewhere else if possible.

The air didn’t work my last day in there which I had to sleep in heat but other then that I was good 😊 can’t complain

Area terrible, drug infected… room nothing like the photos, very disappointed… will be contacting corporate. Also, tv hasn’t worked since we arrived. Called complaining, they sent the house keeper to fix

Such a wonderful place with helpful and charismatic staff! If staying in a seedier part of town doesn’t bother you, this is a must-stay. Shout out to Murph and several other residents for making my husband and I feel at home for the night we stayed there on our honeymoon. We got an incredible room in a historic hotel with a view of Louisville for under $70, and honestly I would have paid more just to support the mission.

What I did not like was that a tan leather jacket came up missing from the front desk or my room. On the day we were departing there were two homeless people fighting in the parking lot. The inability of the staff in helping me to find my jacket was horrible. I will never stay there again and would not recommend to anyone

The worst hotel I ever experienced. No gym, the moment in the room sneezing starts- mainly due to dust mites- related to inadequacies of cleanliness. The word thing is the customer service. While I paid the hotel through Expedia, they pushed me vigorously to pay again and not willing to communicate with Expedia. They treated me as unwanted guest trying to cheat them. I have to go through rigorous process of getting back my money from Expedia.

The surrounding area was a little rough but I love the mission of the hotel.
