This is an atypical hotel. I enjoyed my stay. The staff was down to earth and friendly. The hotel has no pretense. Felt like a real throw back to a better time. And the fried chicken lunch is an amazing bargain and very good. Thank you all.

At least half the hotel turned out to be a homeless rehab center, with random boxes stacked in the reception area and down the hallways, where people loitered. The physical hotel had a pleasingly retro feel except for the food areas which were unmanned and looked barely stocked. It did feel clean, and the staff was nice. People loitered and sat drinking on the streets around the hotel and there was nothing to walk to but a McDonald’s. The parking lot did have an attendant but my spouse did not feel safe so we never checked in and went to another hotel for the night though it was too late to cancel. If I was alone I probably would have stayed the night, but I can’t say I wasn’t a little nervous too.

An utter hellhole. Unless you’re seeking a prostitution and/or drug den this place is absolutely not for you. No one seems to work there, no one picks up at front desk or management. The room wasn’t filthy, but 60 year old hotel carpet was disgusting. TV did not work. Weird people hangin around…DO NOT STAY HERE. I can’t believe I even paid what I paid.

Clean enough but not modern
This property seems to be more of a long term stay kind of place. the room was clean enough. The amenities are dated, but adequate. There were cases of something stacked in the lobby. Lots of chairs for people to hang out in. I felt like an outsider. Having said all that, it was a clean room and the person at the front desk was friendly.

Def outdated but for the price it was a good experience. The staff was amazing. The $5 lunches worth it. The continental breakfast we skipped. No fruit mostly bread and donuts. Would go back.

First of all when I booked I did not know nor was it listed that the hotel doubled as a homeless shelter. (Nothing against the homeless). The property as well as the amenities were all OUTDATED 😩. The air barely worked (good thing my husband has to have his fan blowing in his face and brung his own, which circulated the air). It was clean and no bugs so it was ok since we didn’t spend much time in the hotel.
