"This traditional merchant house converted hotel is lovely. We own the entire building with two floors. One tiny living room on the ground floor, a bath house, a separate toilet near the entrance, along with a spacious bathroom with the second living room on the second floor. It’s airy and full of scent of wood. However, the bedroom is facing the road without sound proof windows, it was very noisy throughout the night. "
"The rooms are not the latest equipment, but they are well maintained and in good condition. The free parking lot is large and very good. The staff is friendly and helpful."
"Friendly and helpful, picked me up from train station and took me to Narita. Very quiet, took a nice walk around the area, across the street from rice paddies. "
"Love the customer service!! They were very helpful even though we had a language barrier. They even used their phones to translate for us. Would recommend staying there because of the staff! "

"Worst Check In Experience Ever!
After arriving
from Okinawa my family took an Uber to Tabino Hotel as no shuttle service was available. Was approximately 1145pm.
Upon arrival we received a very unwelcoming greeting by the front desk gentleman. He said pay now for the 2 rooms I had booked which I did. He then handed me my check in receipt. He then advised me that I booked the first room as NON SMOKING and the 2nd as SMOKING. I advised him there must be a mistake both rooms should be NON SMOKING. I requested him to please change the second room to NON SMOKING. At this point he became extremely aggressive stating there is nothing he could do it was not his mistake - the hotel was fully booked no Non Smoking rooms were available.
I agreed it must have been a mistake and it was not his hotel's fault. Again I insisted he find another Non Smoking room for us.
This is where the most bizarre thing happened. He started telling us to leave the hotel. He was cancelling our rooms. I told him we have paid for the rooms I want 2 Non Smoking Rooms. We began a very heated verbal exchange. Then the craziest thing happened! He then came out from behind the counter and physically started grabbing me to take away the check in paper. I told him to take his hands off me or I would call the police. My daughter in law stepped in and he backed off. It was late I had enough so I reluctantly said just give us the keys. I told him we have been travelling Japan for 3 weeks and have never encountered such "
"It's quite peaceful around the hotel, such that I couldn't find my fingers from darkness. Almost noboby was found on high streets, either.
On arrival, there was a strange smell wafting all over the place. It's like a mix of mould and bleach. It might be because due to moulds between the bathtubs and the bathroom walls of every room, and the hotel staffs were trying to get rid of them using bleach. Simply turn on ventilation and the strange smell could be gone in hours.
Be prepared for a walking distance of around 10min to get you to the nearest corner shop or groceries."
