"We loved our stay at Ryokan Sansui. The view of the mountains around the hotel were amazing with tri-colored foliage. The staff were also very lovely and kind. The food was also delicious and more than I had expected. Communication wasn't too easy, but the message would get across. The best part was, of course, the onsen (hot spring) experience. "This is a big hotel in Okuhida onsengo area, having amasing baths (onsen). We came for both the springs and the winter illumination experience and we had both. Loved it. The outdoor baths (shared) are great. We also tried hida meet as well as local hotel specialities, like turtle soup and caviar, highly recommended. I would love to come back one day."

"We’ve read the reviews of other people before the visit and we did not know what to expect. We stayed at the property for two nights and we were quite happy with our stay. Dinner and breakfast were very good, private onsens were amazing. Private onsens could use a good scrub (that was the only con for our stay).
