"We were a family with young children and stayed for 4 nights. The hotel itself is great - the size and amenities available (they have a whole range of baby items and other handy items that you can request for FOC) is unbeatable in Japan. However, the location of the property itself is in a seedy area, amidst rows of very colorful nightclubs. On the first night, we were awoken at 2am by a fight but otherwise we got back by 8.30pm every night and never felt unsafe."

"I received an email about how to enter the property which was supposed to contain a Google Drive file with information on how to enter, use wifi, etc. but the link did not work. I sent a response message asking for assistance and I never heard anything in return. "

"We stayed eleven nights for COVID quarantine. They didn’t have any cleaning service or bedding/towel change at all. We requested cleaning tools cuz there was no cleaning gadget at all. Staining only one night may be OK but I don’t recommend for a long stay. There will be no service at all."

"東山動物公園でスポーツの大会があり、2回目の利用です。部屋のトイレがウォシュレットでないところと、シャワーはありますがお風呂無しなので、お風呂好きな人には近くに温泉もないので不便かも。 10〜15分歩いたところにコンビニとコープがあります。ホテルからは少し遠いかな。あとは特に不満なところは無く、スタッフの方も優しいし、布団もふかふかで快適でした。また利用したいと思います。"

"We live our stay here. The rooms were spacious and clean, and felt luxurious. Staff were great, and the hotels location was a ten minute walk from the main station and shops, yet it was still quiet and relaxed in the area around the hotel. And there were great food options located close-by. While we didn’t eat at the hotel we can attest that there coffee was excellent and we recommend making sure you get your morning coffee here"

"This property was very close to the train station and surrounded by a host of food options as well as shopping of all sorts from clothing to electronics. Our room was clean and the space was big enough to move around and enjoy but not so large as to be in excess. We really loved the bath/shower in our room. It’s the first time I had that kind of a shower. The shower area was separate from the tub where you stand outside of the tub to shower. It was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive and left nothing for want. The room was outfitted with an electric kettle and all the coffee, cream/sugar, tea, wash cloth, etc. was available in the lobby, take whatever you need/want. I liked the concept. We made use of the laundry facilities and it was very simple and easy to use. The machine was an upright with wash/dry capability all in one. Soap was also included with the price as it automatically dispensed it. We used the max time for wash/dry which cost 500 yen. A electric lock was also part of the fee which secured our clothing, allowing us to set it and forget it, coming down from our room when time was completed. I have no fear of staying in another Via Inn property if this is an example of what the other properties are like. Thank you!"

"I had an amazing stay. I took a room on the ladies-only floor and it's great (extra security door that opens with your room card if you have a room on that floor). First time trying the public bath, I was concerned about my belongings but there are lockers (with keys) to store your towels, clothes etc. while you take the bath. The hot bath helped heal some muscle strains I had from walking and traveling a lot with a heavy luggage. I would stay again in this hotel if I come around Nagoya again!"
