A little run down, surly staff but convenient for getting into San Sebastián. Free parking and carrefour just behind hotel

Very nice staff. Wait to check in was way too long. There was another representative that just stood around while a long line formed. This was difficult for me as I had dinner reservations for a special affair I was trying to make it to on time. This felt very rude.

Unusual location but a nice hotel

Pros: Nice room. Safe for valuables in the room. Refrigerator. Good bed. Easy to park outside the hotel, no parking cost. Several restaurants and grocery.
Cons: Elevators often in use by service staff, they need a service elevator. Elevator cars are small.
Location: In a commercial area southeast of the San Sebastian beachfront area. Many services nearby, restaurants, grocery superstore etc.
We were not expecting that the hotel would be on a busy road in a commercial area surrounded by a car wash, gas station, restaurants and a supermarket. But we were pleased by the quality of the room and the nice breakfast buffet. The staff was helpful with tourism info and assisting with a restaurant reservation. The hotel is about a 20 minute drive from downtown San Sebastian and Donostia. That was an acceptable tradeoff for us as the B&B Donostia room rate was much lower than the hotels by the beach. There are several restaurants in or next to the building and a Carrefour supermarket next door. Despite all the commercial activity and a busy major road, the room was quiet.
