"Its a dairy farm guesthouse. We stay here for two nights. The lady who greeted at us was ver friendly. She tour us around the farm and let us see the baby cows and seeing how they milking the cow. Very lovely experience. "

"Loved the location of the cottages. So nice to sit on the couch and see a 180 view of the serene grounds. If there is more than 2 people, I would recommend getting 2 cabins. The bathroom is so petite and the upstairs small with steep stairs, I could not imagine more than 2 people in these cabins. That said though, they are really a fun place to stay. "

Very clean and comfortable

"We had a very nice stay at the Bru Guesthouse. The location is close to a lot of attraction but feels secluded, with a nice outdoor space and even a grill. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, with good bedding. The only issue was the check-in process. We spent a good 30 minutes after we arrived sitting in our car and trying to figure out how to access our place, because none of us received an email that should have provided the cabin number and door code (there were 2 separate reservations). We had to look up our reservations through hotels.com and send a message (and the response is it can take a couple days to respond). Eventually the owner waved us over to his house to give us the info, and said his emails are blocked. I can only imagine how confusing this must be if you arrive at night and in the dark."

"Self check-in instructions were communicated ahead of time and the process was smooth and convenient. The room was clean, bright and airy. The mini fridge in the room was a nice convenience and the WiFi worked well. The view from our room was fabulous! We had a field of lupine and a small pond that hosted several bird species right outside our window. We could also see snow-capped volcanos and the Seljalandsfoss waterfall in the distance. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The location is central to Seljalandsfoss (waterfall), Landeyjahofn (ferry dock to Vestmannaeyjar), and the town of Hvolsvollur (food, gas, grocery, shops and the Volcano and Earthquake Lava Center exhibit). Hotel Selja is a hidden gem and I highly recommend staying here!"
