We booked a two night stay for the holidays at the Hilton’s DoubleTree in Ocean city Maryland after having a very pleasant experience the same time last year. This year we booked an oceanfront corner room. The room we were assigned had a non functioning refrigerator. Maintenance was very kind and replaced the refrigerator. The room carried a very stagnant feel and the outside view (corner view) was of a dirty pool belonging to the DoubleTree that was never cleaned and winterized. The hot tub and pool floor had green mold on many areas near the hot tub and pool. The hot tub had a lot of sand in the bottom. The night we arrived it was rainy. Water was dripping from the ceiling into the pool. The vents in the pool room had a brown fuzzy substance over all the vents (some blocking the vents) giving way to obvious neglect of the hotels air cleaning system. We left the hotel early because it’s not worth getting sick. We definitely will not be back. It’s a shame because the Hilton prides themselves on cleanliness and that’s a huge selling point to our family and the reason why we book exclusively with Hilton properties. Somehow this property fell through the cracks. Happy to send pictures of concerns listed as we took several in hopes the property would reach out and make the proper corrections for future customers.

incredible experience! The views were absolutely stunning waking up to the ocean right outside my window was a dream. The price was unbeatable, especially for an off-season getaway.
While it’s an older hotel, the renovations have clearly been done right and bring it up to 2024 standards. The full-size kitchen was a huge bonus. Free parking was another great perk, would of been nice to see an EV charger like the other nearby hotels.
The room was mostly clean, though I think the housekeeping could have done a little better with the details. I also wish there had been more toiletries provided. That said, you'd probably be better off bringing your own. But these were minor issues and not worth making a fuss over.
The are is quiet during the off season, but certainly nowhere near "dead".
What really stood out was the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. definitely worth a visit! I’ll be back for sure.

Great place for families. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Nice to walk straight out to the beach in the mornings. The restaurant seemed short staffed which made for a longer wait and no room service available. The temperature in the shower seemed to get extremely hot at times. Room was tidy and friendly staff.

We were happy with check-in, parking, staff, room, cleanliness, amenities, location, virtually everything. Our room overlooked the ocean, as we requested.
Staff was polite and welcoming. On site dining was enjoyable with a top-notch dinner experience. We will plan on staying there again.
