Nice hotel; nice town.
Posted 9 Dec 2016 on HotelsVery nice place to stay but I wouldn't recommend Oberstaufen from late November through mid-December because this is when most shops and restaurants are closed as they prepare for their peak season. This was disappointing to us about the town. The hotel was beautiful and very conveniently located to train station; easy to get around. The spa was nice BUT the pool and hot whirlpool are not hot; they were cold.
Best part of the stay was the St Nicklaus/Krampus tradition from Dec 4-6, which was fun to witness.
