"Stayed 1 night at Sombea on the way to Switzerland and thought it was excellent. The restaurant and bar on property was great for dinner, drinks, and breakfast the following morning. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was in great condition. The only knock was that the air conditioning system was not working and although it wasn't hot, it was a bit muggy because of the rain we had that night. "Had a lovely stay and the outside of this hotel is very pretty. Was having a big extension built and in the morning, we were woken up by someone doing pipe or elctrical work above our room, not best pleased at 8.15am in the morning. Aside from this, the satff were lovely and we had a beautful dinner in the hotel restaurant, home made schnitzel - was delicious. Only used as a stop hotel on our way tot he Stelvio Pass so location was perfect"

"All staff, except the receptionist at the SPA, were very friendly and helpful, trying to make the guest feel welcomed. We liked a lot the view from our room, the mood in the hotel and the facilities."

"Honestly, the staff here are some of the most patient, kind, and generous folks you will ever meet. My only gripe is that the WiFi was very poor and caused issues when in virtual meetings. However, the staff were splendid and am happy to have stayed here. "

"Stayed 1 night at Sombea on the way to Switzerland and thought it was excellent. The restaurant and bar on property was great for dinner, drinks, and breakfast the following morning. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was in great condition. The only knock was that the air conditioning system was not working and although it wasn't hot, it was a bit muggy because of the rain we had that night. Still slept soundly but we could have been a bit more comfortable. By the time we discovered that it wasn't working, it was too late at night and there was no one to fix it. One excellent feature of the hotel was the on-property cigar lounge, although during our 1-night stay it was full of cigarette smokers. I would still highly recommend this hotel as a stopover on the way to somewhere else."

"Very comfortable, very clean and modern rooms. Yet there are heirlooms all over the buildings that you will never see anywhere else. The hotel is quiet and comforting. The restaurant had a great breakfast and dinner options were extensive. All the food was very well prepared. Drink options are exceptional and there is an extensive wine list. All that aside, the staff makes this place. Super nice people, very knowledgeable, and very helpful."

Fantastic stay and free pool entry.

"A lovely guest house, room was spacious and the hosts could not have been more welcoming. They spoke very good English. The breakfast was traditional german breakfast with the addition of muffins and croissants. A good selection with homemade jam as well! Unfortunately we stayed in 30 degree heat and so with no air conditioning, the room was very hot but nothing the hosts could do about this. It was a quiet guest house so we could leave our room door open and the window open to get a gentle breeze to cool the room before bed. There were window shutters which kept the midday sun out. There was an added bonus, with paying the tourist tax, free entry to the outdoor swimming pool which is open til 8pm so we were able to go there to cool down. It had a slide, diving boards, lane swimming, jacuzzi benches, and various other features, which the whole family loved."
