My wife and I had to cut our say at this hotel short. Overall it was an ok experience. However, there are certain things that this hotel lacks. Please note that the pool is great, but they do book it out for parties, and therefore, if you are staying at the hotel, you may not be able to use it if it has been booked out. Also, a large school group was staying here and the hotel had no control over them. There were kids boxing outside our room until midnight and nothing was done about this even after we spoke to staff. If you get lucky, you may have no problems here. But there are several better options around Oaxaca for a lot less cost. Also, this is 3 star hotel at best.

We enjoyed our stay. The excellent management team made sure that our rooms were clean every day. The team was also very helpful and friendly in answering all our questions. We also appreciated the location of this hotel - though slightly outside the city center, we enjoyed our walks to the different attractions within the city like the market, etc. The pool was an extra treat! If you like a simple and comfortable stay, you would definitely appreciate Hotel Oaxaca Dorado.

Good location, nice staff and clean but VERY BASIC! No glasses in room, no coffee, poor water pressure, no way to fully block out light from window, very hard beds. A clean, no frills hotel that is overpriced for the amenities!

I had a great experience at the hotel I was a little nervous from the previous reviews but the staff, service was amazing the hotel is vintage style , the pool was a great spot to hang out &having the restaurant there to serve you food while you tan perfect definitely recommend staying here !! if you don’t mind walking everything is pretty close.

Nice pool, good service
Posted 15 Mar 2019 on HotelsWe were in town for an event and were with a big group of friends. The pool and courtyard area were great for gathering and cooling off from a hard day of work. The food and service at the front desk were also very good and of course the low price is great too considering the immenities and good area. We only stayed here one night since I could
tell by the online pictures that the rooms are in need of updating. The beds were rock hard and the linens were scruffy and dated. The bathroom was also very dated. If you are looking for a very inexpensive place with a pool, then I would say go for it. Also friends of ours stayed on the 3rd floor and their linen was much better so be sure to ask for a room that has white comforters.
