I highly recommend. We called when weather conditions prevented us from arriving before 1am. The staff were wonderful both on the phone and on arrival. The outside looks appropriately rustic for the location but inside was very nice and well kept with all the basic amenities except for laundry. Deserving of 5 stars.

The walls were incredibly thin—you could hear every single conversation from the neighboring room. Strange noises at odd hours made it impossible to sleep. I spent the entire night wide awake, hearing what sounded like someone scratching their nails outside. The location is infamous for spooky stories, with several films shot there and tales of numerous deaths in its history. Whatever was going on, it didn’t let me sleep. The room was old, the bathroom wasn’t clean (I noticed a blood stain on the toilet—thankfully not on the seat), and the floor was filthy. There was also a strange smell throughout the room. We arrived late at night, so I didn’t pay much attention to the surroundings until morning. Curious about all the noise next door, I was shocked to discover there wasn’t even a room there! Although there was a strict no-smoking policy, I distinctly smelled heavy smoke outside at midnight. I had no idea about the spooky history when I booked the hotel. I was simply looking for a ranch-style experience with farm tables and horses, but this was far from it. There were no fresh farm offerings, and the so-called continental breakfast was just your typical inn-style meal. After experiencing the odd vibes and noises, I read about the location’s eerie backstory, which explained a lot. The stay was overpriced and didn’t provide the ranch experience we were hoping for. That said, if you’re looking for a spooky experience, this place is perfect during Halloween—it’s guaranteed to

Quaint historical property with a homey vibe. The surroundings are beautiful. It is set apart from the Oakhurst hustle but close enough to partake in the restaurants and shopping. It is a convenient place to stay on your way to Yosemite. Breakfast was simple but offered fresh croissants and stuffed them with good options. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Booked last minute stay here as close proximity to Yosemite. The ranch is in a very picturesque setting and it seemed cosy on our arrival. Our room was fairly small but it didn’t bother us as we were on there a night. The room was dusty, the bathroom has cobwebs over the lights ! The shower also wasn’t that clean The building must have very thin walls as could hear everyone walking up and down and doors slamming from our room Breakfast was just awful- there were no hot food options left- they had run out of ‘breakfast sandwiches’ but they offered us a hard boiled egg?? If they had eggs they could have made some scrambled eggs… had to settle for some yoghurt which tastes of nothing and some toast which was really small bread! Shocking really at the price we paid for a night.. we’ve been on a California road trip and this is the worst hotel we’ve stayed in so far.. stay else where!

This is a beautiful property about a 20 minute drive from the Yosemite southern entrance. Free breakfast was nice and the room was very comfortable.
