Our self catering accommodation was comfortable, quiet, immaculate, well supplied and felt very homey. I will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful location, clean rooms and bathrooms. Food was good, if there was one criticism it would be breakfast, as I found the bacon a tad hard from being under the heating lamps.

A lovely comfy bed , everything very clean , pleasant room , but , all the good overshadowed by awful condensation after a shower . No extractor fan , it would have made the whole experience 5 star .

VERY large (c60 x 12 ft) and clean one bedroom apartment in the stable block. Comfortable bed, instant hot water for powerful shower, well appointed kitchen. Large lounge had two comfortable big setees and a dining table. I think one of the settees converts to a bed. Nice new carpets and very clean overall
The grounds are beautiful and provide super views across Rutland Water and the rolling countryside
Staff at the hotel were very friendly
Dog friendly. We enjoyed a drink and a nice breakfast in the restaurant's dog friendly area
The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was due to poor heating. We were really cold for the first two nights. The storage heaters do not work nor did the convection heater in the kitchen. Fortunately one storage heater in the lounge had a manual overide and produced a bit of heat to take the edge off the cold. There is also a small convection heater in the bathroom
On the last day we realised the bedroom heater was a convection heater and not a storage heater. Again this just took the edge off the cold.

We had a lovely stay here to celebrate a birthday. The only downsides were there was some mould in the bathroom and around the edges of the window in the bedroom, which you don’t expect in a 4 star hotel. Also a shame the spa was closed but that can’t be helped.

An excellent wedding venue. Lovely room, good food and well staffed bar.
Hotel room very clean, quiet and with quality linen. Good breakfast.
Would not hesitate to stay again.

Visiting area for one night. Beyond sleeping and eating at venue no other facilities used.
Good choice of breakfast.
We did eat in restaurant on Saturday night. Seriously expensive… and not up to standard for amount paid.
Overall. Reasonable price for room and breakfast. Staff pleasant. Eating in the restaurant expensive for the quality.
