Market Bosworth is a lovely town and Bosworth Hall is beautiful on the outside, set in very pretty grounds on the edge of countryside. However, the building is very tired and shabby in all areas. We arrived at 9.30pm having driven from Cornwall. When the gentleman at reception eventually arrived we did not get a friendly welcome. We had requested on booking a room that had not had pets in (my partner is severely allergic) and after consideration he said he would upgrade us to an executive room to make sure. There was obviously a halloween disco taking place which was very loud and there were quite a few unsavoury looking characters around, so we went straight to the room. The room was large but ‘tired’ and the bathroom was very shabby. There were only plastic glasses, only 1 pillow each (with no extras in the cupboard), the tv didn’t work (although we weren’t that bothered) and there was a coffee machine that took some figuring out, particularly as the instructions were minute and not very clear. When we checked out, the lady receptionist was more interested in the ink on her hands than us. We have stayed a few times before, purely for convenience, but will not be staying again. Such a shame as it has the potential to be wonderful.

Flatters to deceive is an accurate description. On arrival, the buildings are impressive, as are the grounds until you try to park, there are randomly spaced small car parks everywhere. Reception was slow, to get internet in your room, you have to pay extra, for each device. No food available after 8pm. The (additional charge) buffet breakfast is average. Rooms are only serviced on request. Overall, a bit disappointing.

Hi whilst the Hotel was very pleasant the extra charges incurred wernt. Firstly the daily Internet cost was disgusting especially as it was added to the 1 phone and was not a available to my husband's phone or the room which meant he had to pay a separate charge each. The spa facility also incurred unexplained charges for towels which we could have used our own had this been explained. The meal time was not the same as on the printed letter we were given which resulted in confusion at the restaurant and the staff at reception was not adequate wich resulted in endless queueing for help as the room phone wasn't being's answered. Overall ime very disappointed

An old property that has been developed sympathetically, much bigger than our usual places and obviously has a thriving business with coach parties and also is a wedding venue. i was not able to get the shower hot although hot water came to the sink readily. Rather disappointed in the quality of the bed as it was hard and very creaky. We had a good sized room which had a full sized fridge and had also previously had a microwave (the instruction leaflet was in the drawer) but these were not really necessary. Complementary tea/coffee available and a kettle. The dining and bar area was very crowded and noisy probably due to the coach parties and had a cafeteria feel about them - breakfast was self service and as we went in at 9.30 most stock was running down so we had to ask for cups, bread and cutlery. I probably would not stay here again but would chose in a smaller more individual establishment.

Small hot airless room, toilet seat would not stay up, doorless wardrobe, tiny bathroom, beds were comfy and good sized tele, untrained bar staff and old stale Guinness. Would not stay there again.

I booked a double superor room but when arrived it was a double with two single beds. This was sorted immediately with an upgrade however we noticed the so called double bed was two singles put together. Having said that , the gym and spa facilities , at £4 per person was great vallue for money and the breakfast was was delicious.

Too many hidden costs
Although the staff were great and the bar/food very good, it is outrageous that this property is charging extra for use of Internet in the room and for use of the swimming pool/spa. We chose not to indulge the greed although it put a slight dampener on our stay. As a Hotel company please can you ensure hidden costs like this are advertised?
