We lived in Tonga 40 years ago and the Seaview was our go-to restaurant for special occasions. They now have accommodation as well so we booked here based on good reviews. The restaurant was still very good, but the accommodation left a lot to be desired. They advertise a “continental” breakfast as included, but apart from juice and coffee, all that you get is 2 slices of toast with butter and a meager quantity of jam. We paid extra for fruit salad, which was okay, but should have been included when we were paying over AU$400 per night. They give you two small bottles of water on arrival but no daily re-supply - again should be included. Our room (201) needs a lot of work - broken shower, loose toilet seat, badly cracked handbasin, safe not working, wardrobe door very hard to slide - bed was comfortable though.

short 1 night stay
Posted 26 Jun 2024 on HotelsThe room was nice and clean and well appointed - however overpriced for the quality. The continental breakfast limited to toast and tea/coffee. Other hotels/resorts offer more such as fruit. Sitting area out the front was lovely. Bar open 7 days and the restaurant closed on Mondays/Tuesdays. Travel to and from the airport all overpriced in Nuku.

Great location, with an easy walk to the markets, and town. Reception staff were lovely and helpful. Rooms were small but comfortable. Restaurant was disappointing, with the complimentary breakfast being just toast, and they had limited options due to them 'running out', when we went there for dinner.
