Not bad but not great
Posted 16 Dec 2019 on HotelsAttended the hotel nearer to midnight for checkin, but no space to park my car park so instructed to park on road which was fine as it was Sunday. We hadn't paid for breakfast but it was offered at checkin. Our problem was the heating in the room was hurrendously hot with no way of isolating the radiator in our room to turn it down. The weather was awful and facing the main road it wasn't the best nights sleep as we needed the window open to release the hot air. I was going to mention this in the morning but when asked about checking out was told to put the keys in a pot.
The mattresses were not the best either. If you're looking for a one night stay this hotel is perfectly fine but I wouldn't want a second night myself.

Not much parking. Reception didn’t know about availability of street parking or cost?
Not offered WiFi password , or any of the mealtimes. Yes I can easily find out, but it’s nice to be told these things on arrival. If you get a room at the front of the hotel be aware of lots of traffic noise as well as a pedestrian crossing beeping endlessly from about 7am onwards !
