The hotel is located in a very convenient location with public transportation right near by. It's walkable to the Capitol and the National Mall. The staff was friendly and helpful. In the room there were a couple of minor things that showed a lack of maintenance - the towel hook was loose in the bathroom, the sign in the shower that showed how to use it was wrong/out-dated, and the closet door had to be kept closed with an external hook. Other than that it was fine. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. There was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room which was good, especially because they ran out of coffee in the lobby.

Fantastic staff, very welcoming and accommodating.
I can’t praise the staff enough. From the front desk to personnel in the lobby, everyone seemed so proud in their work and made me feel so welcomed. The hospitality staff did a great job with the room as well.
The facilities are top rate, the room was comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The location is perfect for walking to sites, and access to the Metro.
The stay exceeded my expectations. It was a joy to come back “home” at the end of a long day. I always prefer boutique hotels to the big chains and the personal touches and little extras, like the complimentary wine in the lobby in the early evening was unexpected but really nice.
Great location, amenities, staff, lobby, room. I would absolutely stay at the Kimpton George again. And again.

Nice room, very comfortable. Lack of restaurant my main issue, had to go to another hotel around the corner for a glass of wine. Mezzanine a little chaotic, maybe they are reinventing that.
