I was thinking it would be more like a refuge/safari type experience than a zoo so that was pretty disappointing, but we did have a koala right outside our window in the morning that made the stay worth every penny. He was so fun to watch play in the trees. The views from this property… especially in the lobby and dinning room are to die for. Would be the perfect spot to ring in the New Year and enjoy the full harbor view! Breakfast was fairly simple but good. Beds were comfy and clean. Overall, just lovely especially if you’re a young family spending lots of time at the zoo. The only thing that could have made it better is a pool or hot tub on property!"

"The breakfast was well worth the extra money. The reception staff was very helpful. We chose not to have our room cleaned but asked for clean towels. They did not bring them until our third request. The electricity in our friends' room didn't work. It was not turned on until late in the day, after it had been requested early in the morning. Evidently it only took a flip of a switch in the control room. We wish we had not been awakened in the middle of the night by a fire alarm, reportedly caused by a faulty fuse in the alarm system."
