The staff is excellent.
Posted 7 Jan 2020 on HotelsThe staff, especially Daisy, were professional, friendly and especially accommodating. Daisy was attentive and took excellent care of us. The young men were attentive and helped us with our luggage. When it was less crowded, I had efficient service in the restaurant. One suggestion, instruct the guests on how to turn on the hot water for showers. Also, before booking, advise the guest that there are no elevators

ACCRA'S HIDDEN GEM
Posted 28 Oct 2018 on HotelsThe old concept of offering genuine “service with a smile” is a rare thing these days but is alive and well in the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra. From first contact, the standard of customer service was exceptional.
A 2-hour flight delay late made us worry that the free hotel transport would be long gone but as we exited Accra’s brand spanking new Terminal 3, it was great to see our name on a board held by the Regency’s friendly and approachable driver.
Check-in was smooth and professional but rather than being met with a forced grin common to many reception desks, Alpha, the duty manager, seemed genuinely glad to greet us and welcomed us with a much-appreciated chilled coconut. Things got better as, due to the hotel being very full, we were upgraded to a suite. If first impressions really do count, Alpha had scored a direct hit. Check out was equally painless.
Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious with incredible solid, hand-carved wooden furniture featuring traditional African scenes. All the rooms are in excellent condition with air conditioning to add to the comfort and a strong 24-hour security team ensure safety. The hotel is very well located with easy access to the Accra’s vibrant night life.
Our stay at The Regency was amazing. The friendly and helpful staff give a true warm Ghanaian feel to the place. It is a real gem, infinitely preferable to the many overpriced “Westernised” alternatives. Highly recommended.

Mid price hotel in Accra
Posted 28 Mar 2016 on HotelsHotel caters mainly for business rather than tourism. Wifi worked in the room but not very well in the bar or the restaurant area. The staff were very welcoming and organised a car with a driver for us - Ibrahim, who was absolutely first class, very reliable and an excellent driver.
Evening meal in the restaurant was slow but this seems typical in Ghana. Overall, the hotel was spotless, the staff friendly and I would stay here again
