"We are repeat visitors to the RHIGA hotel in Kyoto. We love that the hotel is close to Kyoto Station but not too close. Staff are very efficient and friendly. The bell desk staff were very helpful arranging takyubin for our larger pieces of luggage to be transported to the RHIGA hotel in Osaka. Housekeeping staff were friendly and very thorough in freshening up our room each day. "This was an APA property. The rooms were much larger than APA rooms in Akihabara, but I couldn't compare them to other hotels in the area. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were nice. The beds were comfortable and the controls on the bed were useful. It was convenient for transportation, as there were bus routes nearby that could take you to the station or to shrines. But the area around the hotel itself lacks many restaurants or shops. You'll likely need to take a bus to shop anywhere or...

"Overall, our stay was decent. The hotel room was clean, other than the carpet seeming to be dusty and there was a rather large stain on the carpet. The staff were very friendly. The room was quite warm, as the air conditioning was turned off for the season. "

And even if you decide to stay indoors, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and relaxing (not to mention the spa!). "The Granvia is an excellent hotel if you are coming into Kyoto on the Shinkansen. It is located right in Kyoto Station and is easily walkable to get there with luggage. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we are in Kyoto."
