"Nice hotel and location in Kyoto. Easy to get to the trains and very central to get to all the tourist spots. The hotel was clean and staff very helpful. The common space was beautiful and it was a pleasant surprise to get free coffee/ tea/ soft drinks during specific hours of the day. One issue we had was the temperature control with our room being either too hot or cold. "Absolutely loved this hotel! Great location, really nice atmosphere and decoration, comfortable and spacious. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Kyoto. Only drawback I'd say was there was a sign of the shop below over our window so we had barely any visibility and ended up not using our window at all because of this. So recommend avoiding staying on a lower floor if possible."

"We stayed in a Superior Triple Room as a family of four and with one large suitcase, the space was adequate. Two large suitcases might have been tight. The room was nice and clean. The included amenities were great, attractions were either walkable or a station was within a block away, but the best was the staff - very helpful and hospitable. "

"Second time staying here and it was just as great as the first time. Even better as we had chosen a larger room, the last time it was quite difficult to manoeuvre a small room with two suitcases but we managed which is the norm with most midrange hotels in Japan. Recommend for the value and location, subway is a five minute walk down the road which is handy."

"Location! Location! Location! Close to many shopping areas and Gion and a hop and skip to a subway. There also a wonderful Kimono rental shop nearby called Akuru! Above and beyond staff: I lost my JR Pass (had to get the green car one as I have pneumonia and cannot take smoke or smoking smells) and the front desk staff found it! All the staff was really friendly and helpful. Sure the room is a bit outdated but it was clean and loved all the little things they provided in the room like...

"Excellent location, near a subway station, shops, and easy eat restaurant and a bit away from all the madness of Kyoto. This hotel has a great vibe, the lounge eith music, free drinks and snacks, was a real bonus. The room was spacious and very comfortable. For the price, this was incredibly good value. "

"Lovely hotel, clean and modern with lovely staff. It’s small and not loads of facilities available, but when you’re in Kyoto you’re not looking to spend ages in the room/hotel anyway. I’ve stayed in Tokyo & Osaka and this was the most spacious room by far, with the biggest bathroom, and it wasn’t even that big. We also loved the table next to reception to grab whatever you need, such as a toothbrush, hairbrush, different herbal teas and pyjama sets for kids and adults. Water and ice also available downstairs, and there’s a microwave for whatever you may need it for. Great location too, you step outside and you’re already on the Main Street with lots of shopping, restaurants and convenience stores around. Would stay here again!"

Nice place.

"North of Kyoto station but public transportation right there. Bus, train, and even cabs. Lots of locations for wonderful Food. Imperial palace a mile north. Nijo castle less than a mile west. Gion a quick subway or a bus ride. The staff was wonderful and supportive. The laundry was on 3,5,7 or 9. 400yen to wash and 200 yen to dry. 7-11 on the immediate corner but the hotel has a restaurant. "
