We made reservations to move from Hurricane Milton's path. Upon talking to front desk, I insisted to know what Flood Zone they were in. They responded, Zone A - the worst for hurricane water surge.
Expedia processed my refund for the 2 days originally scheduled.
Not sure how a business in Zone A can be allowed to operate when Zone A was a manditory evacuation.

While we were located in evacuation zone A, we happily made the decision to remain open for the people in our community that felt unsafe in their homes or those caught in the midst of their travels to provide a safe roof over their heads. When we arrived, there was no room available for us. We decided we would sit by the pool and wait, but we were told the pool and restaurant was closed due to Hurricane Helene. That was a lie. There was no damage to this property. They were doing renovations and never told us. Elevators had tarps in them. Construction taking place on the first floor. The reason we stay here is because of the pool with the view. They should not be offering rooms while the building is under construction and if they do, let your guests know about it ahead of time.

Marc, were sorry to hear about your experience here. Our property did in fact receive significant exterior damages during the high winds and storm surge from hurricane Helene and due to this our pool and dock are temporarily closed. We apologize for any inconvenience.
