"Great central Newcastle location stayed 1 night Friendly check in at reception easy online check out. Tv lounge bar good. Room good size and bed very comfortable. Only drawback was no onsite parking which couldn’t be helped due to its central location. Tip do a deal with Q car parks for above 24 hour stay as we had reschedule our plans to ensure we left the car park under 24 hrs to avoid unnecessary charges.as the car park was not available next day to continue to park. This was Sat/Sun 16/17...

"The property was perfect position for Newcastle Arena and in a lovely courtyard. Great breakfast & nice food in the restaurant. The radiator in our room wasn’t on at all & there was snow outside so cold weather!"

"A nice hotel near the centre of Newcastle. The outside and lobby has kept it's heritage style, however the rest of the hotel has been updated. The room was very large and very modern. Large spacious bathroom with the latest conveniences. The kitchen facilities were modern and clean, just like the rest of the room. It really was like a home away from home. Only two minor issues, one being the noisy from the street below. Unfortunately we stayed on a Saturday night, and it was a bit rowdy...

"Lovely stay at Ramside. First time we have been here and we will be back. Staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. Room was nice, only issue was that it smelt a bit damp when we walked in but opened patio doors and aired it and was ok afterwards. Lovely clean rooms. Beds not the most comfortable. Pillows were lumpy and a double/king size bed would be better than 2 beds put together, kept falling down the middle. Next time may look to upgrade to a premier room. "Stayed here a few times. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, great location. Had an issue with the TV not working on our last stay, apparently this is an issue across the hotel so would not recommend if a TV is a must for you. I was staying with my young daughter and the gent on duty (didn't get his name unfortunately but he was fantastic!) got us sorted in the end. It's a typical hostel.
