Quiet B&B, friendly and helpful proprietor
Posted 4 Oct 2017
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Very helpful proprietor.
Location: About a half mile from the North Conway "strip" with its restaurants and shops, Not feasible to walk there after dark since there are no sidewalks.
Building is 100+ years old, has the character of an older facility that has been updated to provide electrical, HVAC, and Wifi needs of modern user. Proprietor is very friendly, was very helpful in helping us set up a good itinerary for our two days there. Breakfast was excellent, prepared to order and of the highest quality. B&B is quite quiet, has a nice sitting room/library (which we did not use since we were out all day seeing sights). B&B is near, but not on, the North Conway "strip" of restaurants. With no sidewalks and a dark environment, one cannot comfortably walk to the strip at night, though it is less than half a mile away.

Nice B&B close to downtown-great breakfasts
Posted 5 Sep 2017
Pros: Good location, rate, breakfasts wi-fi, and hot water. Very clean. Liked the chickens (outside-no rooster).
Cons: Not much-it's an older building with character-some areas outside need a little attention but rooms and interior were clean and in good condition.
Location: Near North Conway center-walking distance using public parking access road across the street.
Older B&B in a good location near downtown. Good value and great breakfasts. Not a modern hotel but clean with a great staff.

A great experience of Fall hiking.
Posted 18 Oct 2016
Location: A great base for hiking with some stunning views (we enjoyed good October weather). And we liked our visit to the Mount Washington Hotel.
Seeing chickens in the yard when we first arrived, I knew this was going to be a good place. It is an old building with character, basic comfort, and cleanliness. Unexpectedly, the wifi connection was very good. And the breakfasts were excellent. We particularly valued the friendliness of Steve, the host, and his advice about weather conditions and hiking trails.

great location excellent staff
Posted 28 Jul 2016It was like being home away from home. The rooms are simple but specious. The location is outstanding. Steve, the owner, was friendly and very helpful with wonderful trip advises. It made our trip! Just wonderful.

Peaceful stay in a great area.
Posted 10 Jul 2016 on HotelsThe service was very good. The house is clean and serviceable. Steve cooks a good breakfast and is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The family is completely unintrusive. They never pry into your business as happens at some B&Bs. If you want privacy you can have as much as you need. Alice the housekeeper is always happy and pleasant to interact with. And, of course, she keeps the rooms in very clean condition.
The area is amazing. Much in the way of hiking, photography or shopping or dining. North Conway and the surrounding area have an amazing balance of stuff to do in town and many world-class natural areas to get away to.
