This is a truly unique property in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We stayed in a junior suite and enjoyed the tranquility. We did have a/c in our room, along with a mini fridge and kettle. The service, food and beer were amazing. My only complaint was that the pool was not yet open for use during our stay. However, instead of spending time at the pool as planned, we drove a short distance to the charming town of Assisi. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend getaway at San Biagio and look forward to returning one day soon!

Unique Umbria experience

Cons: I found the bed a bit more firm than I like, but that was the case at another place I stayed as well. Perhaps cushioned mattress pads could be added.
We needed a hotel close to a family member's rural home, and this one was a good choice. The building was originally a monastery (built in 1333), and it has been exquisitely renovated. The setting is beautiful and the view from our room was a panorama of the countryside. Not much is happening near the hotel, which is perfect if you want a quiet place in the country. The last part of the journey to the hotel (less than a mile) is a dirt road, so getting there in the winter would likely be difficult. Otherwise it was very manageable. We did not have the opportunity to use the spa facilities, but they looked great. There is also a lap pool with a beautiful view. We ate in the hotel dining room one night, and the meal was good. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Okay but not worth the money
Posted 16 Sep 2018 on HotelsService personell is very welcoming. Beautiful view. No aircondition was no problem for us. The bed is very hard and uncomfortable. Two single beds together does not make a double bed. Quite noisy in the night from the surroundings. The food in the restaurant is to expensive for the quality.

Regarding the beds are specified that they are double rooms as a business choice. Even the air conditioning is specified that there is not, being located at 600mt of altitude we have already put the duvets in the beds for weeks.

Menzione speciale per il ristorante, lo chef Mario è eccezionale. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.
