Great spaces and access to the beach. Staff was friendly and the food was great. Only thing i would like to see is some activities inside the premises.

Off season stay at Anilana

Great staff and warm welcome
Posted 25 Sep 2019 on HotelsA lovely warm welcome from the staff at Anilana -beautiful pool and clean beach area ,poolside rooms spacious and fabulous bathroom. Delicious buffet breakfast with a great variety of Sr Lankan and Western choices. You will need to let them know if you want alcohol with your meals as they do not have a bar on site -staff were very accomodating and nothing was too much trouble.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were particularly helpful and friendly. The property is located a little distance away from from any shops or other restaurants, but TukTuks are readily available and the food on site is good. There was no alcohol available at all which wasn't advertised or communicated before we arrived, but that seems to be common at present in Sri Lanka generally, we could buy from the shops in Trinco and bring it back if required.

Unfortunately hotel is nothing what is displayed on the photos. The facilities are very old and poorly maintained. Inside the rooms the air conditioner vents are full of mold. The bathroom and the beach towels have several holes, worn out and some have some large stains (not sure if they were even washed). Hotel services are very overpriced, they take advantage of the tourists for the restaurant prices since there are not many restaurants nearby.

Bad management stuff
Posted 1 Aug 2018 on HotelsManagement heads are very rude and they charged extra after we booked and paid. They didn’t ajust with anything. But the service boys did a good job they were very helpful. Also the guy called Fiaz at the front desk was good.
