The property condition was average. More than average was the kindness of the ones I met at the reception in the night shift and the day shift. They did not rush you and the gentleman showed me how to open the door with the wifi card. He was kind. It was my first night of my European tour, and most things were new to me since my last one in 2004, an organized tour with a friend and with a big group. The next morning, I had breakfast and it was good: the egg and the potato round pieces, and juices of oranges and grapefruit, and coffee, coissant and bread. The woman desk manager was friendly and told me about her family. It was good to know because I could relate where they originally came from. Overall, I enjoyed my stay because of the kindness and friendliness of the hotel staff.

Very convenient to the train station which was my purpose in staying here. The crowd is not touristy around here as a result. Found that I was able to take the lift up rather quickly. I ended up taking the stairs down often due to time. The sounds echo throughout which challenged and early bedtime. The water pressure was perfect and the staff was kind.

Stayed here for one night during my time in Nice. Check in was pleasant and the hotel was quite chic and fairly priced. Around 630am the morning after my check in, the room began strongly smelling of urine. After letting the staff know, they said they couldn’t have someone check it until after I had checked out. They also denied my request to be put into another room. Needless to say I had a rude awakening and will not be staying here again. I urge fellow travelers to avoid it as well, despite the lucrative price point.

This was a great, unique room. Really enjoyed our stay here. Elevator is a bit tight, but was a cool design.

Great spot for travelers right near the train station! Loved all the free water, coffee, tea, and snacks in the lobby.

Quiet & Safe Stay with Average Accommodations

The location was ideal, as we were coming in for the Tour de France and wanted to enjoy the chaos of it all…but not be *in* the chaos of Old Nice. We used Lime bikes to get everywhere, which was convenient that two parking locations were within two blocks of the hotel. Despite the hotel being right across the street from the train station, I found it to be a really quiet neighborhood and place to rest. Sure, you can hear the trains but not so loud that we couldn’t sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. They had beach towels, umbrellas and chairs for guest use, which we certainly appreciated so we didn’t have to buy new or travel with it. There’s one tiny elevator, so had to make a few trips up/down with bags and also wait a few mins to call the elevator to your floor, but it wasn’t too inconvenient (it’s an incredibly old building after all). The lobby had chilled water and sparkling water on tap, which was so nice, too. The room was mostly clean but the bathroom had mold in most of the corners. It was on the grout, mainly, but didn’t feel the cleanest for our stay. The beds were really firm, which will be great for those who like that. Our tv remote didn’t work, but we didn’t mind b/c we were out all day anyway and didn’t bother to ask for a fix. The fridge is very small, so just be mindful of this if bringing food back to the room (it didn’t fit a small pizza box). The hotel is right across from a public parking structure, which was SO convenient!
