Great location to watch multiple ships going through the Welland Canal. Very unique setting. Refrigerator was a big plus. Super comfy pillows and extra blankets in room. Close drive to beautiful Niagara on the Lake.

You stay there to watch the lake freighters going through lock seven. The hotel is basic, no hair dryer but the location is in an old well established neighbourhood. A ten minute walk past the Anglican church to a wonderful Pho 18 Vietnamese restaurant. It is cozy and welcoming. The food is excellent. Go to The Early Bird restaurant for breakfast. Our grandsons said the food was better than Cora’s and the servings were huge! We arrived at 9:39 am and by 10:00 the place was packed with regulars.

I have never stayed here before and found the Inn very clean and the staff is friendly. The grounds are kept well and it’s a very quiet and peaceful area. There are places close by for food and coffee and stores. I really enjoyed this Inn. There is history at this Inn which makes it interesting.

The view from my balcony was fantastic, and I did get to see a ship "locking through." The property is a little bit dated (the bathroom is very cramped), but it is very clean and well maintained. The staff were welcoming and very helpful.
