It's beautifully located with a great scenery.. the facilities and cleanliness maintained is average. Restaurant staff are just not cordial. The furniture and other amenities are worn out with time.. Can do much more..

Rooms were spacious enough with balcony. Washrooms were also clean and tidy. The place is overcrowded especially during the breakfast time. There aren't enough chairs to host the guests in the restaurant.

Hotel in need of modernisation

Posted 29 Jan 2018
Pros: The room was comfortable / spacious. The air conditioning worked well but the outside fan was located on the balcony and could be heard in the bedroom
Cons: More attention to maintenance. A lot of money needs to be spent and lifts installed in the 'annex'
Location: The location I on a very steep hill.
We arrived at 0700 and the staff very kindly provided us with a temporary room until our room was ready at 12.00. The temporary room we were given was the honeymoon suite although we did not know it at the time. When we went to our room we were expecting similar. The hotel is really two hotels joined by a bridge on the fifth floor. The hotel is a mass of steps and certain areas (restaurant and all rooms in the block to the right hand side of reception do not have lifts). The rooms are in need of a good clean. Our bathroom window did not fit the frame and had no locks. We booked a room with a fridge, The fridge only arrived after we mentioned it. It worked but it was rusty and had not been cleaned. During our stay there was a festival at the Hindu temple next door. Music( a gyrating Hindi sound) and singing was relayed at full volume by giant speakers both day and all night. This was totally unacceptable and the hotel should have previously advised of this, as we would have cancelled our booking. It finished at midnight of our second day. On the plus side the staff were very good and tried to please.

Value for money

Pros: Cleanliness.
Cons: A gym would have been nice. Maybe a table tennis table. Each room should have a hotel brochure that contains information about the hotel facilities.
Location: It was in a good location. There were activities available nearby but we did not avail ourselves of them.
It wasn't 5 star but was comfortable and clean. The view was excellent. The service by friendly staff was good. The food was tasty. The beach was about 7 minutes walk away. It was clean and the sea wasn't rough. Overall it was a good experience.

Reception lady took us to our room with a can of air freshener in her hand, not a good thing. Door lock is the old fashioned push button, easiest lock to pick, not a good thing. Bathroom looked like it had be updated in 40 years, cupboard door was kept shut only with wad of paper that was gross looking, not a good thing. Restaurant , I wanted a cocktail from drink menu, was told no cocktail. 20 minutes later, he comes back and said I could ordercocktail if I wanted . Food was so so

Wonderful ambience

We were there for one night but the stay was really memorable. Everything right from the pick up service was exceptionally good. The staff is very friendly and service is also very prompt. Variety of food can be experienced here. The ambience is too good. Complementary pick up and drop by motorboat and evening houseboat ride adds value to your experience. All in all a great place for leisure

An OK place.. good enough if you are on a budget

Posted 1 Jun 2016 on Hotels
It is an OK place to stay. Do not expect anything extraordinary for this price. But be prepared to climb a lot of stairs... for pool.. for restaurant... for beach... for everything... steep climbs all day.. in 2 days... my hips were aching a lot. Foor average... breakfast average.. but very little sitting. Always crowded

Good hotel with pleasant rooms

Posted 20 Mar 2016
Pros: Large room with a balcony
Very good hotel, and a great end to our tour of the South. Staff very pleasant, didn't try the restaurant except for breakfast, Pool was clean, my only comment would be the climb up from the beach in 35 degrees was somewhat daunting.

Pleasant and quiet hotel short walk from the beach

Posted 17 Mar 2016
Pros: Location and relaxing design
Cons: Minor maintenance issues, wifi availability in rooms, Supplies in rooms on arrival--eg 2 pillows, a kettle, hand towels.
Location: Lovely beaches with coconut palm surroundings and a lighthouse to visit. Fishing villages a short walk away. Lots of shops and restaurants on beach
Pleasant relaxing hotel with great views, a/c large bedrooms and extensive public areas. We had to ask for a few basics on arrival though as only one of everything was supplied initially eg extra pillows if you wanted two, no hand towels, no kettle and the room door was almost impossible to lock for some reason. Wifi didn't work in the rooms and had to sit in reception to use it. Initially we were given a written code for wifi which was incorrect. All the problems encountered were minor stuff really but annoying and unnecessary nevertheless. Apart from that everything was good including the extensive buffet breakfast, the (limited choice) bar, the pool and the inside/outside public areas were all clean and well maintained. The pleasant beach is a fair walk downhill via a twisting alleyway and it is of course uphill on the return. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful and hotel arranged transport to the airport for us. Despite the minor issues we enjoyed our few days there and would happily stay there again and also recommend it to others.
